  Fiber Optic Fire Alarm Contact Monitoring

The Litelink® CT/R-7204 system consists of the CT-7204 transmitter and CR-7204 receiver. The system utilizes digital encoding techniques to transmit and receive four separate contact closures over a single optical fiber conductor.

The CT-7204 inputs are activated via a supervised contacts closure. Supervised means that there must be valid end of line resistor present for a valid contact closure.  This will prevent a short in any external wire lead from causing a faulty contact closure.  The CR-7204 will reproduce these inputs as isolated output contact closures corresponding to the respective input signal. All inputs are transient protected against excessive surges present on the signal and power leads. The link is completely fail-safe in that a loss of operating power at transmitter or a broken fiber will Rx contacts will remain in their last know position, and an alarm (trouble) relay will close. Integral indicators are provided on both units to continuously indicate the link and contact closures status as well as proper operating power thereby making system troubleshooting simple
